The Imaging Fiber is a special type of fiber that improves the capacity of fiber optic communication through spatial multiplexing. It belongs to a special type of multicore fiber. When the core density of the multicore fiber increases to thousands or tens of thousands, each core of this multicore fiber can transmit data at a different wavelength independently. Within a certain length range, the coupling between the cores is low, and they do not interfere with each other. This multicore fiber can transmit the wavelength information of the emitted light from each tiny position of the target through thousands or tens of thousands of cores. At the end of the imaging fiber, with the addition of optoelectronic conversion devices, it is possible to reconstruct the image information of the target.
